Logitech and Corsair are both reputable gaming headphone brands that are well-regarded for their quality and performance. That’s why gamers tend to choose these two brands first when deciding on a gaming headset. Choosing between the two brands can be tough, but deciding whether to go wired or wireless can be even more difficult. Especially since Logitech’s wired G Pro X costs nearly the same as Corsair’s HS70 Pro Wireless headset. Both are high-quality headsets that compare in several areas, including design, comfort, build quality, and sound quality (both have 7.1 surround sound and adaptable software). And, because both headphones perform similarly in these important areas, we want to know if the best option is wired or wireless.

The G Pro X’s package impresses me, but it’s the accessories that make the unboxing a memorable experience. Labeled cords are included for all compatible devices. There’s also a travel bag, cloth, and leatherette ear pads to choose from.
Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless

The HS70 Pro Wireless have appropriate packaging, but they don’t come with many extra accessories. They only come with a USB Bluetooth connector, charging cable, and removable mic with foam windscreens.
Packaging and Accessories Verdict
Both headphones come with similar packaging and connective accessories. The G Pro X include optional cloth ear pads and a travel bag, whereas the HS70 do not. Because they are nearly identical in price, I have to go with the G Pro X because they offer more.
Design and Functionality
Logitech G Pro X
This pair of G Pro X are the League of Legends limited edition version and feature a blue and gold color scheme. The headband even has gold stitching. It’s easy to say that this is very appealing and one of the most attractive headset designs I’ve ever seen. The G Pro X have a mute button and volume dial on the PC connective cord that also doubles as the console cord. The mobile connective cord has a mute button but no volume dial.
Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless
The HS70 is not a limited edition version, but they do have a similar design to the G Pro X. Although the headband is mostly black, it has some nice white stitching on the underside. Overall, I find the design to look very professional. The HS70 have all their features on the underside of the ear cups. The left ear cup features a volume dial, mute mic button, USB charging port, and removable microphone. The power on/off button is located on the right ear cup.
Design and Functionality Verdict
I have to award a tie because both headphones are nearly identical in design and functionality. Everything from their ear cups and connective yolk to the stitching on their headbands is comparable. Functionality wise, they both offer the same features. You could argue the G Pro X are more aesthetically pleasing with the blue/gold color scheme, however, I feel the design and colors of both headphones are equally professional and attractive.
Comfort
Logitech G Pro X
The G Pro X’s design makes me expect a comfortable fit, and this is exactly the case. The leatherette ear cups are plush and soft, and the slits in the back have excellent airflow. The cloth is equally nice and has even better breathability, but my preference is the leatherette. The only issue I have with the G Pro X is the lack of adequate padding on the headband. I get occasional aches while gaming, but it’s nothing that a quick adjustment can’t fix.
Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless
The HS70’s design also makes me expect they will have good comfort. While this is the case, there are a few issues that should be addressed. The ear cups have plush leatherette padding, but they get humid and don’t have as good airflow as the G Pro X. This is most likely due to the tight seal they form around my ears. The headband also does not have enough padding and results in aches after long hours of wearing.
Comfort Verdict
The G Pro X are more comfortable, primarily because both ear pads, cloth, and leatherette, have excellent airflow. The HS70 only have leatherette ear pads that get hot quickly. Both headphone headbands give me aches and need more padding to combat the issue. Aside from that, both provide a reasonably comfortable wearing experience, but the HS70 fall just short of the G Pro X.
Build Quality
Logitech G Pro X
The build quality on the G Pro X is among the best I’ve seen. Nothing about their construction gives me the impression the headset is cheaply made. Both ear cups are made of hard plastic and feature a metal ring with the Logitech and League of Legends logos on each side. The aluminum joints that connect the ear cups and the headband appear extremely strong. The headband is flexible but still provides solid resistance.
Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless
The build quality of the HS70 is very comparable. This is not a surprise, given the nearly identical design of both headphones. The exterior of the ear cups has a metal mesh with a strong plastic border. The ear cups join to the headband by a strong metal yolk, and, like the G Pro X, the headband is both flexible and resistant.
Build Quality Verdict
It’s not often that I come across headphones with comparable – and impressive – build quality. Every G Pro X and HS70 Pro Wireless component is made of high-quality materials. No part feels flimsy or like it will break, and I’m sure you can put both of these headphones through the wringer before they will fail.
Mic Quality
Logitech G Pro X
Testing the G Pro X microphone is a consistently enjoyable experience. It works well in quiet environments and always provides clear audio. However, the microphone struggles to combat background noise, but there is a simple fix. The Logitech G Hub software is extremely full-featured. There are numerous options to adjust the microphone, which can be overwhelming. So to take the weight off my shoulders, I simply went to the community hub and searched for a “Noisy Environment” preset. Safe to say, it works like a charm. Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless
I also have a good time with the HS70 mic. In a quiet environment, it consistently clearly transmits my voice. It does sound a little stuffier than the G Pro X, but it does the job. Background noise is a problem for the HS70 mic and unfortunately, there is no way to combat it. It’s far from the worst I’ve encountered because my voice is louder than the background noise, but it’s still noticeable.
Mic Quality Verdict
The HS70 does have a good microphone. However, it suffers from the common problem of failing to drown out background noise. This is exactly the case for the G Pro X mic, but the Logitech G Hub on PC gives an option to combat it.
Connectivity
Logitech G Pro X
Because of its 2m PC/console cable and secondary mobile cable, the G Pro X is compatible with all devices. Also included is a Y splitter for separate microphone and audio ports on the PC. The USB external sound card allows access to the Logitech G Hub software on PC, which is truly outstanding. We saw it in the mic quality section, and I’ll go over it more in the sound quality section, but it’s a huge advantage because it significantly improves the headset’s capabilities.
Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless
Through its wireless USB Bluetooth connector, the HS70 Pro Wireless is compatible with the PS4, PS5, and PC. It also comes with a micro USB charging cable to support its 16-hour battery life. Corsair claims a wireless connection range of 40 feet but you should expect it to drop repeatedly if you move more than 15 feet from your computer or console, especially if there are walls blocking the connection.
Connectivity Verdict
I have to go with the G Pro X because there are no connectivity issues. Actually, it’s rather the opposite. Additionally, the USB external sound card enables the Logitech G Hub and improves both my mic and sound quality experience. I like the wireless capabilities of the HS70 headset, and they work well when seated and gaming. However, they consistently drop when I move away from the transmitter. Furthermore, the HS170 are only compatible with PC, PS4, and PS5, which is ideal for my setup but may not be for yours.

Logitech G Pro X
The Logitech G Hub’s versitile sound quality settings are ideal for a game like Escape from Tarkov since sound has such importance. It’s easy to say the 7.1 surround sound covers all angles on PC. The G Pro X distinctly separates mids and highs, but it also does a great job juggling audio. I can even use the Logitech G Hub to reduce the lows and prioritize more of the highs. This is a game changer in a game like Escape From Tarkov because there is a lot of ambient noise.
Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless
The HS70 Pro Wireless also has 7.1 surround sound that I can rely on. It’s clear where footsteps, shots, and general sounds are coming from. The HS70 Pro Wireless uses the iCUE software to customize the sound. It has presets and even lets you create your own. It’s not nearly advanced as the Logitech G Hub, but it has a much more friendly interface for new users.
Comparing sound quality on Console
Logitech G Pro X
The G Pro X does not have 7.1 surround sound for console gaming. This makes my experience playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare less immersive. However, the headset still does a good job of separating the lows, mids, and highs. In this case, without the 7.1 surround sound, this player got the jump on me in the Gulag. However, a last-second audio cue of his footsteps let me turn around and have a fighting chance.
Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless
The HS70 Pro Wireless also lose 7.1 surround sound on console, making the sound less immersive, but are superb in every other area. All the sounds are distinct and I can still hear the footsteps of players nearby, if perhaps less precisely. The HS70 does an excellent job of separating the lows, mids, and highs, and making each sound distinct from the others.
Sound Quality Verdict
I’ve never awarded two headphones a tie for sound before, but both the G Pro X and the HS70 Pro Wireless provide an equal level of quality. Although the G Pro X have a much more advanced interface with the Logitech G Hub, it can be overwhelming at times. The HS70 Pro Wireless have the iCUE software, which isn’t as advanced but still allows you to adjust the lows, mids, and highs. Both headphones perform similarly on console. In fact, they’re nearly identical, resulting in a tie.

Conclusion
The G Pro X and HS70 are hands down two of the best gaming headphones I have ever tested and compared. Neither headset fails in a section and both offer a great product that’s reflective of their price. With that said, the G Pro X are the overall winner, thanks to additional accessories, great airflow and ear cup comfort, and a mic that can combat background noise. They’re also compatible with all devices. I easily recommend both headphones, but which one you should go for isn’t a simple answer. Both headphones are great and it comes down to your preference for wired or wireless. If you want a wireless headset, the HS70 are an easy choice, however, that’s only if they are ideal for your setup.
